Arghya is a cultural initiative from Bihar, devoted to celebrating Chhath and sharing its timeless beauty with the world through creators, traditions, and deeply authentic experiences.
A landmark cultural confluence at NIT Patna, uniting creators from Bihar and across India. The gathering will feature inspiring performances, thoughtful addresses, and the presence of distinguished guests deeply rooted in Bihar’s rich heritage. Celebrated voices, including renowned Chhath singers, together with creators and cultural ambassadors, will honor tradition and carry its cultural grace across generations and geographies.
The second chapter of Arghya celebrates thekua, the sacred prasad of Chhath, cherished for its devotion and symbolism. On Kharna, a renowned Chhath singer will join us in a special vlog capturing the sanctity of the ritual and the grace of its preparation. With reverence, thekua will be shared across India, carrying blessings of faith and the warmth of Bihar’s living heritage.
The third chapter of Arghya welcomes seekers from across the globe to Patna for a four-day celebration of Chhath from 25th to 28th October. The experience will unfold on the sacred banks of the Ganga, where rituals are observed in devotion and silence, embodying the festival’s purity and discipline. Through this journey, guests will partake in the grace of Chhath and the timeless spirit that binds Bihar’s heritage to the wider world.
