Arghya – A Cultural Offering, A Shared Journey

Published on September 11, 2025 by The Arghya Team

In Bihar, the word “Arghya” carries a deep resonance. It is the sacred offering made to the rising and setting Sun during Chhath Puja, a festival rooted in gratitude, simplicity, and devotion. For us, Arghya is not just a ritual - it’s a way of reconnecting with our roots, celebrating togetherness, and sharing the essence of our culture with the world.

This year, Arghya began as a heartfelt initiative among seven of us - friends who carry Bihar in our stories, memories, and dreams. We wanted to do something that felt authentic, not just performative. Something that could bridge tradition with the present, while giving our generation a way to express pride in where we come from.

Our Vision: Sharing Bihar's Spirit

Through Arghya, we want to share Bihar’s spirit with the world in three ways:

Arghya is our offering. To our roots, to each other, and to everyone who wishes to walk this journey with us.

Why Arghya Matters

In an age where traditions are often reduced to hashtags, Arghya is our attempt to keep them alive in their truest form. It’s about offering - not just to the Sun, but to our people, our culture, and our future.
